Smoky Mountain Outdoors is a premier destination for adventure-seekers looking for the best whitewater rafting experience near Gatlinburg. Our thrilling rafting trips are suitable for anyone aged three and above, making it the perfect attraction for the whole family to enjoy. 

Our Spring and Fall trips, running from March to April and September to October, offer a unique opportunity to get out on the river on unpredictable water levels impacted by natural conditions.  Our Upper Pigeon River Rafting adventure, good for ages 8+,  covers 6.5 miles through Class III - IV rapids from Mid-May to Labor Day weekend.  Our Lower Pigeon River Rafting adventure is a leisurely 5 mile float good for ages 3+ from Memorial Day to Labor Day weekend.

For those seeking an extreme whitewater rafting experience, our smaller boat adventure, the EXTREME Upper River Rafting tour, is available from May to September. Our Lower Pigeon River Rafting tour, also available from May to September, is an adventure the whole family can enjoy.
